What you can expect :

Meet your guide at the famous « Jamaa El Fena » square at 10am. Walk into the heart of the medina and discover many of the hidden gems of the medina. See alleys, buildings, people and get an introduction to the Moroccan culture.

Walking for half an hour with your guide into the vibrant medina, chatting and learning about the local culture, you will come across different sections such the artisan section. Take a pause to witness artisans making handmade crafts, such as colored leader, hammered lanterns, handmade slippers and bags. Watch a tailor sewing a « Jellaba », a local dress, an artisan making cushions and boots, a craftsman working on plaster, and a master chef cooker making « Tajine », a traditional dish. See workers at the dyers section, the leather auction market, a black smith and much more!

After that, you will be taken to the most stunting sights of the city. The must-do sight is the famous « Medrassa Ben Youssef » an old Islamic college dated back to the 14th century. You walk into the college and you get mesmerized by the beauty of architecture. You will go upstairs to see the dormitory cell cluster of the students, and admire handmade tile, plaster, and ceder wood. In addition to this, you will get the best panoramic photo of the building. After visiting the rooms of the students, you will go downstairs to take close-up shots nice calligraphy, plaster, shells, and pine cone. your guide will answer all your questions and give you a private time into the building to inspire and admire.

Once you finish, your guide will take you to see mosque « Ben Youssef » and take some photos from the outside. Adjacent to the mosque, you can admire an old dome which dates to the 11tth and it is under renovation and you can take lovely photos as well.

After that, you will be taken to the museum of photography to admire an exhibition of photos of different profiles in black and white. the house is composed of three floors allowing you to explore various sections such video tape, coffee terrace, and a book store, postcards.
